So the garage is this cool Cville venue that was literally run over by a truck. It needs help. This video is funny. Even if you don’t give money. And I did my part by rhyming. That’s all I got.

Fall fell this week. And it was, and is, wonderful. Here are some quick iPhone snaps from round grounds. The tree in front of Aldy (on the left) makes my mornings less miserable. As I drag myself into the library at 8am I hate life, then I see it, and I like life again. So basically, my life will REALLY suck in like 2 weeks when it’s just dead and evoking the existential dread of my copy of King Lear. Maybe I will find ‘winter’s penitential cheer’ but right now I am cool with Autumn.
All from the Avon Street Bridge. I walk across it every day, generally 2x a day at least on my commute, and frequently at sunrise or sunset.
Graves Street Block Party 2012. A good time was had by all.
Not 1, not 2, but at least 3 places with otherworldly mac and cheese. In no order:
Virginian, C & O, and The Local. All three different. All three mind-blowing. And as a long time connoisseur of mac and cheese, this makes my heart glad.
My sister blogs about my life better than I do. Which is no suprise as she is better at life than most people. I mean she can casually mention she spent all day reading Proust without making you want to kill her. Which is a feat. So check it out for some kewl Cville pix.
Deux South
So over the summer I have been unbiked. Tragic, I know, but the product of unavoidable circumstances. As such I have lived vicariously through other bike friends. James Nord’s Deux North series has been particularly exciting/inspiring. Today I got back on the horse for the first time in what seems like a year. I was well chuffed that I managed to haul my single speed around 18.5 miles of semi rolling hills out side of Charlottesville at a decent clip. I climbed past the Michie Tavern and Monticello then around some hills and valleys behind then back down the mountain to town. Short ride, and my steel frame commute bike is very soft/heavy but still- when cranking down a gorgeous stretch of pavement on yonder mountain at 28 mph all is right in the world.

Why yes, that IS Simon de Montfort, John of Gaunt, and Robert de Vere. Just bumbling through Circa and happened upon three of my favs from English history and they followed me home. Imagine that! Cheeky bastards. (Taken with Instagram)
Un buen día en Montserrat! La temperatura fue perfecto y la roca fue cool! El estilo allí es más dura, pero me gusta mucho!
SOLO MISSION: BEAR AND BACK
Note to self: 100+ mile rides are highly more enjoyable in good company. Longest solo ride to date. Won’t do that...
Instagram Roundup, It’s been a lot of cycling.
BUMMER.
If a person is stuck in the stacks fantasizing about librarians, I’m assuming it’s because they can’t find their book and need help real...
By request.
It takes an ocean not to break.
