On the bikes. (Taken with Instagram)
Deux South
So over the summer I have been unbiked. Tragic, I know, but the product of unavoidable circumstances. As such I have lived vicariously through other bike friends. James Nord’s Deux North series has been particularly exciting/inspiring. Today I got back on the horse for the first time in what seems like a year. I was well chuffed that I managed to haul my single speed around 18.5 miles of semi rolling hills out side of Charlottesville at a decent clip. I climbed past the Michie Tavern and Monticello then around some hills and valleys behind then back down the mountain to town. Short ride, and my steel frame commute bike is very soft/heavy but still- when cranking down a gorgeous stretch of pavement on yonder mountain at 28 mph all is right in the world.
Un buen día en Montserrat! La temperatura fue perfecto y la roca fue cool! El estilo allí es más dura, pero me gusta mucho!
SOLO MISSION: BEAR AND BACK
Note to self: 100+ mile rides are highly more enjoyable in good company. Longest solo ride to date. Won’t do that...
Instagram Roundup, It’s been a lot of cycling.
